The Democrats Did The All-Nighter But It Didn’t Help

Welcome back!
Once again, the democrats have shown that they are not in touch with reality. The senate did have an all night session so that they could try to get the bill through about the troop withdrawals beginning next year. Unfortunately, they knew going into the session that they were not going to have the number of votes they wanted to get the bill to pass. Okay, here we have a bill. We know it will not pass. We decide to get the senate together and force them into an all night thing…why? So we can bore them into submission, right? Sorta looks that way.
The clue here is that the democrats simply do not have the votes to shoot this bill through to the President who has vowed to veto it anyway. Even if they had the votes to pass, they will not have the votes to override a veto anytime soon. And the President is not going to budge on his stand of keeping the troops in Iraq until we win the war or make a difference.
What concerns me is that there are so many people who simply do not see the vision here. It is imperative that we stay in that country and win the war. It is important that we are victorious because if not, we will be ranked as second rate in the world. We are not far from that now. The EU has pretty much taken over the European countries. With that banded together group of countries, we are seeing more and more opposition to our foreign policies. This is not good at all. So, we must take control of that situation in that country, get the locals trained in enforcement of the laws. Then we can leave with dignity, something we have been sadly lacking for years.
