Ready For A Laugh? Fire Him, Oh That’s Okay. All Is Forgiven

Welcome back!

What is this all about? Remember the Don Imus thing? You know the deal. The man was doiong what he was hired to do, be a shock jock. Apparently, he was too shocking because he ended up with national attention for a stupid comment that should never have gone far at all. In fact, he should have basically been ignored. But that wasn’t the case. Pretty soon the radio network that he worked for got a bit shaky because their sponsors flexed their dollar muscles and things that would be just fine in the right market were not okay on that network all of a sudden. Yeah right.

The whole thing blew up all out of proportion. Hot on the heels of the guy was none other than the Rev. Al Sharpton, who seems to show up alot with such things. Heck, you would think the guy was running for some type of office, wouldn’t you? So, he showed his face on camera, as planned, and beat the dead horse some more. And, of course, in due season, the man was fired.

Update: Now Al Sharpton does not see any reason why Don Imus can’t go back to work. After all, the man “has a right to make a living.” That right? Where was that idea, Mr. Sharpton, when the guy was being fired because of people like you who were supposedly offended by what he said. Had he said something about another minority of some type, you would not have been there to get down on his tail for it at all. And now, it’s “all better” right? Oh puleeeezzzzze!!!!! Are you kidding me? Now your sense of compassion comes calling?

Oh yeah, I should mention this too. Mr. Sharpton said this as well: “under the right conditions, the radio star’s banishment could eventually end.” How generous of him….as if he had anything whatsoever to do with hiring and firing the man. Come on. All this does is bring the whole thing out again which might just be what you wanted to do. Mr. Sharpton, get a life that does not include putting your nose into other people’s problems. What were you thinking?

Where was Mr. Sharpton? If I remember right he was making a major fuss speaking *against* Imus and his comment.

Now he comes down on Imus’ side of the fence?

Dude needs to pick a side.

Yes, he does. Unfortunately, he picks the side that “helps” his image with the people that actually listen to him. :(
