They Say Wholesale Prices Fell In June

Welcome back!
This is probably going to end up being a rant of sorts. I do love to know that the prices for wholesale goods are falling even as we speak, hopefully at least. But the problem seems to be that despite that, we do not necessarily see it in the stores right away. Sometimes we never really see it. I wonder why.
For instance, the biggies like Wally World, do not choose to pass that along to the consumer all the time. I think that is mainly because they get used to the price being up there and because the customer does likewise, they do not feel the need to reduce the price to the former level. I have seen that happening in our area.
The smaller companies do not seem to have that problem nearly as much though they, too, see it as a bigger profit and do not want to give that up. How about those oil companies?? ACK!! They make tons of money but choose to use it themselves. If they would pass the savings on to the consumer instead of needing to advertise so much, they might get some goodwill going for themselves. But greed will win out over all, won’t it.
