Senate Doing An All-Nighter! That’s Different

Posted by: From Arkansas in Give Me A Break, Political News on Jul 17 2007

Welcome back!

The senate is going all night long on a quest to get something done about the Iraq troop withdrawal that the Dems so want. According to the Dems themselves, it is unlikely they will get the majority they need for the bill to pass through. The shocker to me is that they are willing to actually WORK for a change. Have you ever seen what these people do?

Well, let’s see. They campaign for a new election, go to the capitol occasionally, if there is a truly IMPORTANT bill, they show up during a session of the senate. Beyond that, they do whatever it is they do that does not include being at work too much. Okay, that is a more or less slanted side to this whole matter of what they do. But, I actually do not see them working terribly hard for the massive paycheck they do get from our tax dollars supposedly at work. Tax dollars are about all that’s at work though. :(

I’m a cynic, see me roar.

I don’t see why they chose to go through an all-nighter if they know they wont get the majority they need for the bill to pass through.

You got me. I can’t figure it out either. It was not going to change anything at all. First, it’s a waste of time and a waste of taxpayer money. Big shock there? Nah. I agree with you. Thank you for commenting.
