When The Vultures Gather

Welcome back!
Did you ever notice that when something happens, all of a sudden nobody knows what happened? Nobody saw anything. Nobody did anything. That’s the way it goes these days, isn’t it. Our congress loves to put their heads in the sand, like an ostrich, and when everything is better, they come up for air. Then, when the fingers start to point, nobody knows anything. Same happens in the U.K.
Ah, you don’t think so? Okay, today Tony Blair’s ex-colleagues are now saying that they had doubts, from the beginning (yeah right. We heard all that nay saying then) that the war in Iraq was a good idea. Some say that they had doubts but Tony Blair had none. Smart man. We do remember that there were those who did not want to be part of that war and said that their country would be judged on that. They must be feeling pretty good about themselves tonight, huh? To predict so well? Of course, if there had been more positive actions on this, it likely would be different.
Unfortunately, we have the same thing in this country. Only thing is that when the Sept. 11th thing happened, everybody loved each other, big pro-America sing on the Capitol steps and all that. Unity!! That was the catch phrase then. And when we went into Afganistan, it was great. After the mad and nasty Binladen…..until he was inaccessable. So then, a new target came up. Iraq and the dictatorial and nasty monster who killed many, many people just because they did not believe like he did. He tortured people. And now we have people saying that we should not have ever been there. Are you kidding me????????
Then it’s okay to stand around and watch some madman killing off the people for nothing but his ego and do nothing about it????? Ah, that’s right. It’s an internal problem, not yours. I see that. There is that nasty little Sudan problem that everyone knows about. People are dying there just like in Iraq. And we do little to nothing.
So now that he has had the guts to go after a monster, President Bush is sliding down a very slick slope these days. Not all of it is his fault, in fact, not a whole lot of it but everyone wants to agree that he is in charge and therefore he is where the buck stops. Plus he surely is an easy target for the democrats that want to be either reelected or elected to a new office. It’s all political.
There is no doubt that people want him out of office. The Sheehan woman has demanded his impeachment and even wants to run for congress if her orders aren’t followed by Ms. Pelosi. There’s a hot laugh. I do not agree with the Pelosi woman but I cannot see anyone remotely interested in Cindy Sheehan taking Ms. Pelosi’s seat in congress either. That would be removing one fried egg and starting to fry another one.
They ran Tony Blair out of his office too. Unbelievable. The only thing he supposedly did wrong was back Mr. Bush in the quest to deal with the monster in Iraq. That monster had mass graves all over the country. He had…count them…..12 years…to hide and unload the WMD that he had or remove all the evidence of what he was planning to have. Personally, I find all that to be a major DUH moment on the part of several governments and so many individuals. When are the people going to wake up?
Actually, I can tell you with an accuracy you will not like that most people, American and otherwise, won’t wake up until it is too late to do anything about it at all. Some will even grab hold of the worst nightmare ever to come into the world. Some will embrace the worst nightmare and enjoy the benefits…..until they no longer exist and then it will be hell. Literally.
Somebody needs to wake up. Somebody needs to see the Light.
