Golf Was Dad’s Favorite Game

Welcome back!
My Dad used to go out to the golf course before going to his business each day. He loved golf. That was the one thing he loved outside of his family and the business, I think. The man would play in adverse weather at times just so he could have his time on the links. And he always cleaned the golf balls that he had used that day because they got scuffed up and dirty. Wanted the things to be clean and easy to see the next time out.
Usually, he used the new golf balls that he had purchased from time to time before he went out there to play but occasionally he had some that the pro shop sold as used. They were just as good and he could get just as much play for less money than usual. Even then, he was always wanting to save some money. I don’t blame him. Those trips to the golf course were getting expensive with paying for the game time itself and the green fees. If you were to rent a cart, ouch!
All in all, Dad had the greatest time playing the game he loved so much.
