In The Aftermath Of The 4th

Welcome back!
Did you ever wonder if there were things happening after the 4th of July? In our neighborhood, there were annoying people on the 4th across the street that were shooting off fireworks which we do not object to except when they were shooting some really big guns and those guns were usually aimed at our house in previous years. Apparently, that was the case again this year. We even found evidence of the large stuff because a launch platform was in our yard.
Ah, but is that the sum total of problems in the aftermath? No. There are other difficulties and situations as well like the animals that are having trouble with the sounds of the fireworks. We have a cat who thinks those fireworks are actually thunder and that thunder is out to get him much like the lightning trying to get him.
But, there are other pets that are outside at the time of the fireworks display, whether big time displays on the lake or whereever your city displays are held. Those pets get scared, very frightened, and end up leaving their homes to flee the loud noises. Thus is the case in Raleigh, N.C., where the pets are running away because the fireworks scared them.
In the future, to avoid this situation, it would be a wise pet owner who would find a safe place for his or her pets to be when the loud noises go off so that they do not have to go through the heartache that current pet owners are going through trying to find those lost pets who are so scared that they leave their own homes to flee.
