Sometimes It Does Pay To Be In Forensics

Welcome back!
It’s Lansing, Mich. and some lady decided to get a divorce from a wandering husband. She gets to court and reveals that she is a state forensics scientist. She then tells the court that she tested her philandering husband’s undies and found….shock….another woman’s…DNA presence. That was her proof. Uh oh. Not good. Of course, she says that the test was run on her own time, with her own equipment.
Now there is some doubt, thrown out there by the husband’s attorney (shocker), that she was actually using state equipment to do these tests. The attorney wrote to the media as well asking this question. The Michigan State Police oversee the running of that particular lab and are now starting an investigation to see how many improperly run tests have occurred. The lady in question is an expert in her field and has testified on 50 occasions in court trials.
I guess what is bothers me about these things is that the husband very likely has wandered since he does not deny that. But he is willing to ruin or try to ruin his wife’s reputation to save his own. Bad husband!!! If she is accusing him of something he did not do, where did the female DNA come from then? Or is she making it up? Ah, we will not know this.
