Iran Accused By U.S. Of January Attack
Posted by: From Arkansas in My Take on Things, What Drives You Crazy? on Jul 02 2007
Welcome back!
The U.S. government is now accusing Iran of being a part of the January attack that killed 5 U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Big shocker there…not. Of course, they are part of the attacks going on in Iraq. Why not? Our congress lets the world know that we are wusses and are wanting to pull out of the fight as soon as possible just like we did when it got really hot in Vietnam. Nothing changes.
The American public loves the war when we appear to be winning. They hate it when our soldiers die and it appears that we are not winning. Fickle crowd. I realize that this is part of marriage vows but it would not hurt the congress and the President to take a vow of “for better or worse” when we have to face the world with our war plans in Iraq. Who knows if we should have gotten here in the first place. I say that, as a Christian, I firmly believe that we had a duty to go into that country and deal with the monster that was running the show with his monster sons.
I must say this again. Does no one remember the mass graves? He was a mini-Hitler, killing off those who did not like him or go along with his politics. And does no one remember that the Iraqis were HAPPY to see us show up and get rid of that man and his sons.
The man had 12 years to hide all the WMD that he could possiblly have had in the sands of several countries around Iraq. Why is someone shocked that we did not find too much evidence of that? Or why does no one remember that there really was some evidence but that was hushed up prettty fast in those days.
The American public and the congress are a fickle crowd. And no one remembers.
